I am direct with clients, but collaborative in a nonjudgemental way. Much of my work focuses on radical self-acceptance and building on your inner strengths.
I believe you know yourself better than anyone else, and I strive as a therapist to empower you to find yourself through your own agency.
Welcome! My name is Danielle Goldman (Previously Kumanchik) (she/her/hers) and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #135053).
My professional path began with diverse experiences in the mental health field, including a sliding scale clinic, where I learned to navigate the financial and emotional barriers many individuals face in accessing care. I also spent time in school settings, gaining insight into the challenges children and teens face, particularly those struggling with anxiety and depression related to the difficulties of having a disability in a system that doesn’t fully support their needs.
Through these experiences, along with my own lived experience, I discovered my true passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families. I came to realize that many existing systems are not designed to meet the unique needs of neurodivergent people. As a result, my focus as a therapist became ensuring that everyone, regardless of their neurodiversity, has access to the care and support they truly deserve.
My focus is on supporting clients in ways that honor their true selves, rather than pushing them to change or mask parts of who they are.
